Childe Dundao, 27-year old Angolan point guard was selected as the Most Valuable Player at the FIBA Afrobasket. He plays For the Atletico Petroleos de Luanda. Dundao received multiple other awards, was honored as the Best Guard and was chosen to the First Team. He started playing in the Angolan National Team 6 years ago. Dundao also played for the Under 19 national team back in 2017. His exceptional play earned him the third spot in assists per game, boasting an impressive average of almost 6. Dundao also averaged almost 16 points per game during the event. His 30 points against Cape Verde were the most he scored at the tournament. Among many awards he was selected to the Afrobasket Basketball Africa All-Defensive Team between 2022 and 2023. He was also selected as the Eurobasket All-FIBA World Cup Honorable Mention in 2023.
Aliou Diarra, 23-year old Malian forward earned the Best Forward of FIBA Afrobasket. He plays For the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Summer League. Diarra was also named to the First Team. He started playing in the Malian National Team 2 years ago. Diarra orchestrated his way to the fourth spot in rebounds per game, showcasing a dazzling average of 10. He also recorded almost 15 points per game at the event. Diarra registered double-doubles in 4 games during the event. His 35 points against Ivory Coast were the most he scored at the tournament.
Mahamane Coulibaly, Malian center picked up the Best Center at the FIBA Afrobasket. He plays For the Stade Malien. Coulibaly collected multiple other honors, earned a spot in the First Team and was named to Honorable Mention selection. He had 14 points and over 3 rebounds per game at the event. Coulibaly has totalled 3 games of 20 or more points during the event. His 25 points against Uganda were the most he scored at the tournament.
Bruno Fernando, 26-year old Angolan center was voted to the First Team of FIBA Afrobasket. He plays For the Real Madrid In Spain And graduated from the Maryland six years ago. Fernando started playing in the Angolan National Team 4 years ago. He also played for the Under 19 national team back in 2017. Fernando averaged almost 8 points and 7 rebounds per game at the event. His 15 points against Cameroon were the most he scored at the tournament. Among many awards he was selected to the Eurobasket All-FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valancia (Spain) Second Team in 2024.
Brancou Badio, 26-year old Senegalese guard was selected to the First Team at the FIBA Afrobasket. He plays For the Valencia in Spain. Badio started playing in the Senegalese National Team 7 years ago. He conducted his way to the third position in averaging a commendable almost 20 points per game. Badio also recorded almost 4 rebounds per game at the event. He has totalled 2 games of 20 or more points on the year and logged 30 or more points in 2 games. Badio's 32 points against Nigeria were the most he scored at the tournament. Among many awards he was selected to the Eurobasket All-Spanish LEB Silver Second Team back in 2021. He was also selected as the Eurobasket All-Spanish LEB Silver Honorable Mention back in 2020.
