2025 AfroBasket: Cameroon complete quarterfinal picture with win over DR Congo

Cameroon became the eighth team to complete the quarterfinal slate in Angola. They beat DR Congo to make it through tonight. Yves Missi (212-F-2004, college: Baylor) stepped up with 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge.
Cameroon limited DR Congo to 13 points in the first period to take a 6-point lead. But DR Congo stepped on the gas in the second frame. They poured in 23 points to narrow the gap at 1-point at halftime. Cameroon used a 23-13 third quarter rally to regain a comfortable advantage. DR Congo once again cut the deficit in the fourth period but came up short of win at the end. Williams Narace (200-SF-1997) posted 18 points for the winners. Mervedi Kieli hauled in 14 points for DR Congo.
