Tunisia beat Madagascar for the initial win at the 2025 AfroBasket. They finished Group B with a 1-2 record, whilst Madagascar remained winless.
Both teams exchanged the narrow wins in the first half as Madagascar led 32-31 at the halftime. Tunisia took control on the second half and with two comfortable wins reached 21-point victory.
