Cape Verde - Tunisia 65-75

Tunisia entered the Final of the AfroBasket 2021 as they edged Cape Verde 75-65 in the semifinal clash. The defending champions grabbed a 16-14 lead at the start and led 10 points at the halftime. Moreover they produced a 20-15 rally in the third quarter and did not mind a 16-21 loss in the last stanza.
Makram Ben Romdhane (205-PF-89) top-scored for the winners with 16 points and 10 rebounds, whilst Omar Abada (189-PG-93), Salah Mejri (217-C-86) and Michael Roll (198-G-87, college: UCLA) had 14 each. Mourad El Mabrouk (194-SG-86) followed them with 9. Walter Tavares (220-C-92) replied with 16 points and Ivan Almeida (198-SF-89, college: Stonehill) had 13.
