Defending champions Tunisia are through to the semifinals of the AfroBasket 2021. They edged South Sudan 80:65 in the Quarterfinal campaign.
The continental newcomers adjusted well, running some good halfcourt sets throughout the game and edged the opening quarter 15-14. Tunisia tied it all after a 26-25 run and then took full control in the rest of the game. Salah Mejri (217-C-86) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Omar Abada (189-PG-93) netted 18. Deng Ring (193-F-97) replied with 14, whilst Deng Acuoth (213-C-96) netted 13. Tunisia will face the winner between Uganda and Cape Verde in the semifinals on Saturday.
