Senegal - Angola 79:74

Senegal claimed first spot in Afrobasket semifinals as they overcame Angola 79:74. Trailing 17-22 at the end of the first period, Senegal stormed with a 27-11 surge to take the lead. Angola managed to win two quarters in the second half but could not win the game. Brancou El Hadji Badio (188-G-99) made three free throws at the end of the game to seal the win.
El Hadji Badio top-scored for the winners with 14 points, whilst Gorgui Dieng (211-C-90, college: Louisville) and Ibrahima Fall-Faye (207-F/C-97) nailed 13 each. Mamadou Faye (211-F/C-93) followed them with 10 points in a win. Carlos Morais (200-G-85, agency: Duran International) replied with massive 28 points and Gerson Goncalves (193-F/G-96) notched 13.
