South Sudan - Uganda 88-86

South Sudan have won the thriller against Uganda 88-86. South Sudan opened the game with a 26-23 lead and led 6 points at the halftime. Uganda meanwhile tied it all at 65-65 as Arthur Kaluma drove a lay-up to close the period. In the last stanza the teams showed real battle and struggled hard for the second win at the tournament. Deng Acuoth (213-C-96) scored two free throws for a 87-86 with 15 seconds to go. Mathiang Mauot Muo also went on a free throw line and posted one for the final result.
Dhieu Deing (196-G-01) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Mathiang Muo (196-G/F-87, college: Charleston So.) netted 17. Deng Acuoth and Kuany Kuany (206-F) followed them with 13 each. Ishmail Wainright (196-G/F-94, college: Baylor) replied with 22 points in a loss and Robinson Opong had 17.
