Angola - Rwanda 68-71

Rwanda recorded the second straight win in Kigali. The hosts overcame Angola for 2-0 record atop of Group A. Angola in the meantime slipped at 0-2 record. Kenny Gasana (195-G-84, college: Boise St.) scored 18 points to lead the charge.
Rwanda and Angola were tied at 20 after ten minutes of action. Angola surged ahead in the second frame. They eked out a 38-35 halftime lead. Angola extended the margin at 6-point mark heading into the fourth frame. But Rwanda turned things around in the final period. They held Angola to just 7 points and snatched a narrow win at the end. Alex Mpoyo (203-F-97, college: GSU, agency: BIG) delivered 10 points in the victory. Jilson Bango (208-C-99) answered with 14 points and 16 rebounds for Angola.
