Senegal - Uganda 93-55

Gorgui Dieng (211-C-90, college: Louisville) paced Senegal past Uganda in the opening game for both teams at the AfroBasket 2021. He nailed 19 points as Senegal celebrated a 93-55 win.
Senegal opened the game with a 21-14 run and led 9 points at the halftime. The third period was decisive in the game as Senegal erupted with a massive 28-9 surge to take full control of the game.
Ibou Badji (218-C-02) delivered 17 points and Ibrahima Fall-Faye (207-F/C-97) had 15. Mbaye Ndiaye (203-SF-99) produced 14, whilst Pape Diop (202-F-96, college: Cape Breton) netted 8. Adam Seiko (190-G-98) answered with 12 points in defeat and Keiran St Charles Zziwa notched 9.
