An interesting game for UCU Canons (13-3) which played road game in against one of their biggest challengers Betway Power (11-4). Second ranked UCU Canons managed to get a 13-point victory 66-53. UCU Canons forced 28 Betway Power turnovers and outrebounded them 51-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by Betway Power helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Tanzanian forward Chuma Fadhili (-1995) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Jerry Kayanga (-1997) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) replied with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Betway Power. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCU Canons maintains second position with 13-3 record having just one point less than leader City Oilers. Betway Power at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. UCU Canons' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala KIU Titans.
Bottom-ranked Falcons is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 15th consecutive match to third ranked Betway Power (11-4) 67-47. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Nasser Guddi who added 7 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Kenneth Mesho with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Betway Power maintains third position with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader City Oilers. Falcons at the other side still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Betway Power will play against JKL Dolphins (#8) in Kampala in the next round where they are favorite. Falcons will play against Victoria USY (#12) and hope to get finally their first victory.
The game between seventh ranked UPDF (9-7) and 9th ranked Our Saviour (6-9) in Kampala on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. UPDF outscored guests from Kampala 80-57. The winners were led by Ferdinand Odama who scored that evening 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by Moses Mugisha did not help to save the game for Our Saviour. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UPDF moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted Our Saviour keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. UPDF will meet Tropical R. (#10) in the next round. Our Saviour's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena JKL Dolphins.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 12: Victoria USY was beaten by KIU Titans on the road 69-64. Our Saviour lost to KCCA P. on its own court 43-50. UPDF unfortunately lost to Blazers in a road game 52-64. Victoria USY was rolled over UCU Canons at home 60-81.
The most impressive performance of 12th round was 20 points by David Okello of UPDF.

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked KIU Titans (8-6) beat 12th ranked Victoria USY (2-13) in Kampala 69-64 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by Mohammed Abdikani who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ahmed Kassa supported him with 10 points and 4 assists. Four KIU Titans players scored in double figures. Even 26 points by Ronald Ayume did not help to save the game for Victoria USY. Maker Mayen added 6 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. KIU Titans maintains seventh position with 8-6 record. Victoria USY lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost. Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Blazers (9-4) won against at home 7th ranked UPDF (9-7) 64-52 on Saturday. Blazers forced 25 UPDF turnovers and had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by UPDF's players. The winners were led by Kenyan point guard Kennedy Wachira (180-1995) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Daniel Juuko (187-1989) supported him with 6 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by swingman David Okello (-1997) did not help to save the game for UPDF. Arthur Wanyoto added 9 points and 5 rebounds.
