NBL Round 29 (Regular Season): City Oilers keep a leadership position

The Regular Season in NBL is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked City Oilers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. City Oilers smashed 9th ranked JKL Dolphins in Kampala 85-33. There was a minor upset in Kampala where 8th ranked Jaguars (6-12) were defeated by eleventh ranked UPDF (4-14) 56-51 on Saturday. UPDF forced 21 Jaguars turnovers. Peter Akok stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Godwin Muhamireho chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. Tanzanian forward Chuma Fadhili (-1995) responded with 8 points and 8 rebounds and Ian Lubwama scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. UPDF moved-up to tenth place. Jaguars lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost.
