Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Blazers (9-4) won against at home 7th ranked UPDF (9-7) 64-52 on Saturday. Blazers forced 25 UPDF turnovers and had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by UPDF's players. The winners were led by Kenyan point guard Kennedy Wachira (180-1995) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Daniel Juuko (187-1989) supported him with 6 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by swingman David Okello (-1997) did not help to save the game for UPDF. Arthur Wanyoto added 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Blazers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 9-4 record. Loser UPDF dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Blazers will meet Ndejje Angels (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. UPDF will play against Tropical R. (#10) and hope to secure a win.
