Regular Season Round 12: UPDF - Our Saviour 80-57

The game between seventh ranked UPDF (9-7) and 9th ranked Our Saviour (6-9) in Kampala on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. UPDF outscored guests from Kampala 80-57. UPDF forced 23 Our Saviour turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by forward Ferdinand Odama (-1995) who scored that evening 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman David Okello (-1997) supported him with 20 points. Four UPDF players scored in double figures. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) did not help to save the game for Our Saviour. Forward Stephen Wokorach added 9 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UPDF moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted Our Saviour keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. UPDF will meet Tropical R. (#10) in the next round. Our Saviour's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena JKL Dolphins.
