Talented DR Congolese Franck Nyembo (200-F-2006) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Namuwongo Blazers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 19-year old forward had the game-high 30 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Blazers in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Sommet (#5, 11-9) with 30-point margin 94-64. Blazers maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Blazers would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 17-2 record. In the team's last game Nyembo had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Blazers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Nyembo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 13.0ppg) and averages solid 58.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Edrine Ekau (2006) of Rezlife Saints. Ekau impressed basketball fans with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he led Rezlife S. to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Kampala R. (#12, 2-17) 110-47. Rezlife S.'s 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 15-4 record is not bad at all. Ekau is one of the most experienced players at Rezlife S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.8ppg (#1). He also registered 5.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was British forward Jonathan Komagum (205-F/C-1998) of top-ranked City Oilers Kampala. Komagum scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of City Oilers, leading his team to a 85-33 easy win against the lower-ranked JKL Dolphins (#9, 5-15). Many experts and fans count City Oilers as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 18 victories and only two lost games. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Komagum has a very solid season. In 5 games in Uganda he scored 5.8ppg. Jonathan Komagum has also Ugandan passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
