Regular Season Round 12: KIU Titans - Victoria USY 69-64

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked KIU Titans (8-6) beat 12th ranked Victoria USY (2-13) in Kampala 69-64 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by Mohammed Abdikani who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ahmed Kassa supported him with 10 points and 4 assists. Four KIU Titans players scored in double figures. Even 26 points by Ronald Ayume did not help to save the game for Victoria USY. Maker Mayen added 6 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. KIU Titans maintains seventh position with 8-6 record. Victoria USY lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost. KIU Titans' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena UCU Canons.
