The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: City Oilers (#1) and Blazers (#3). City Oilers (9-0) won against visiting Blazers (3-2) 57-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Blazers. City Oilers forced 19 Blazers turnovers. It was a good game for swingman Ruai Luak (196-2004) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Micheal Ngut contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Peter Cheng replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds for Blazers. Undefeated City Oilers have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-0 record. Blazers at the other side keep the third place with two games lost. City Oilers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Ndejje Angels.
Our Saviour's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Kampala, where they defeated Rezlife S. (1-4) 76-67. Henry Ssebagala scored 18 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Moses Mugisha chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Richard Anyunva with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Our Saviour went down to tenth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Rezlife S. dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. There were no big surprises in other games of round 6: KCCA P. beat Kampala R. on the road 71-58. KIU Titans destroyed UPDF on its own court 100-51. UPDF managed to outperform Power in Kampala 66-62.




Kampala R. - KCCA P. 58-71

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked KCCA P. (2-3) beat on the road bottom-ranked Kampala R. (0-2) 71-58 on Saturday. KCCA P. forced 20 Kampala R. turnovers. Center Daniel Gaaki (-1992) notched 14 points to lead the effort and Salim Kisilu supported him with 10 points and 9 rebounds. KCCA P.'s coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 13 points and 8 rebounds by Suka Fadul did not help to save the game for Kampala R.. Francis Kasinde added 9 points and 9 rebounds. KCCA P. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Kampala R. still closes the standings with two games lost. KCCA P.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala JKL Dolphins.

Our Saviour's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. Strangely Rezlife S. outrebounded Our Saviour 38-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. Very expected game when 10th ranked UPDF (2-3) was smashed by third ranked KIU Titans (4-1) in Kampala 100-51 on Saturday. KIU Titans forced 30 UPDF turnovers. Forward Joseph Chuma (-1991) notched 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Joel Lukoji supported him with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five KIU Titans players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds by Arthur Wanyoto did not help to save the game for UPDF. Swingman Andrew Gang (-1996) added 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KIU Titans moved-up to second place. UPDF lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Power - UPDF 62-66

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked UPDF (2-3) won against one of their biggest challengers Power (2-3) in Kampala 66-62 on Wednesday. UPDF dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Power's 26. They outrebounded Power 60-37 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Arthur Wanyoto notched a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Andrew Gang (-1996) supported him with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four UPDF players scored in double figures. Even 29 points by Guellord Mobanza did not help to save the game for Power. Elvis Mutebi added 6 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Power's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. UPDF moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Power. Power lost third consecutive game.
