Uganda - South Sudan 68-69

Newcomers South Sudan advanced to the Semifinals of the AfroBasket 2025. The only tournament debutants overcame Uganda 69-68 in another thriller. Despite having lost twice to their neighbors in the qualifiers and coming in as the underdog, the team secured a 69-68 victory, qualifying not only for the Last Four but also for the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournaments.
Delicia Washington (178-G-1997, college: Clemson) stepped up with 17 points, whilst Maria Gakdeng (190-F/C-2003) and Rose Macuei (187-F-2000) notched 12 each. Perus Nyamwenge (170-G-2000) answered with 16 points in a loss and Jane Asinde (188-F-1999, college: UTEP) brought 15.
