Senegal piled up a 44:30 halftime lead. They went on a 28:22 run in the second half to secure the winning outcome. Ndeye Sene (167-G/F-88) chipped in 12 points in the win. Leia Dongue (185-F/C-91) replied with 20 points for Mozambique.

Nigeria - Mali 48-47
Nigeria survived thriller against hosting Mali to ensure the title game appearance. Tunisia clinched the 11th overall position as they beat Central Africa. Houda Hamrouni (188-F-94) provided 14 points to lead the effort. Tunisia accumulated a 38:21 halftime lead. Central Africa narrowed the distance in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Maherzia Ksouri (183-F/C-83) notched 13 points for the winners. Senegal - Nigeria 48-65
Nigeria clinched the title in Mali. They beat Senegal to capture the first AfroBasket Gold since 2003. Evelyn Akhator (190-F-95, college: Kentucky) posted 13 points and 7 rebounds to lead the champions. Senegal recorded an 18:12 lead after ten minutes. Nigeria bounced back in the second term. They went on a 21:10 run to accumulate a 33:28 halftime lead. Nigeria held Senegal to just 7 points in the third term to open a 13-point advantage at the final intermission. Nigeria followed with a 17:13 run in the fourth quarter to celebrate the trophy. Adaora Elonu (185-F-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: ProDep Management) tossed in 12 points for Nigeria. Mozambique - Mali 52-75
Mali stepped onto the pedestal at the home championship. They beat Mozambique in the consolation final to conquer Bronze medals. Mali posted a 21:12 lead after ten minutes. Mozambique cut the distance at 2-point mark at the interval. But Mali fueled a strong 41:20 run in the second half to ease to the victory. Nassira Traore (181-F-91) had 19 points for the hosts. Angola - Ivory Coast 56-61
Ivory Coast recorded victory in the final day of the championship. They beat Angola to end up in the fifth position. Kani Kouyate (177-F-90) posted 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. Ivory Coast claimed a 32:21 halftime lead. Angola narrowed the distance in the second half but could not avert the loss. Cameroon - Egypt 83-86
Egypt rallied past Cameroon to ensure the seventh overall position in Mali. Hala Elshaarawy (181-F/G-93) and Meral Abdelgawad (181-F-98) accounted for 16 points each in the win. Egypt went on a 28:11 run to open the game. Cameroon pulled within 6 points at halftime. Egypt extended the gap back to double digits in the third quarter and never looked back en route to the victory. Mai Helwa (F-89) had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Egypt. Angola jumped to a 16:6 lead after ten minutes. Mozambique however bounced back with a 17:4 run in the next period to ensure a 23:20 halftime lead. They followed with a 22:14 run in the third term to boost the lead. Mozambique held Angola to just 13 points in the fourth frame and raced to the win. Elizabeth Pereira (170-PG-91) had 12 points for the winners. Italee Lucas (175-SG-89, college: N.Carolina) fired 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and made 6 steals for Angola.

Ivory Coast - Nigeria 43-98
Nigeria overwhelmed Ivory Coast to reach the semifinal stage. Evelyn Akhator (190-F-95, college: Kentucky) delivered 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Nigeria - DR Congo 84-47
Nigeria knocked down DR Congo for the second win in a row in Mali. Atonye Nyingifa (180-PF-90, college: UCLA) scored 13 points to lead the charge. Nigeria accumulated a 23:8 lead after ten minutes. They went on a 32:9 rally in the fourth term to seal the victory. Upe Atosu (165-PG-93) had 12 points in the win. Egypt - Guinea 109-78
Egypt posted the second straight win in Group B. They fired past Guinea to stay undefeated. Menatalla Awad (G-91) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds in the win. Egypt registered a 52:34 halftime lead.
