Egypt - South Sudan 65-75

South Sudan shocked Egypt at the AfroBasket 2025. They posted a 75-65 win to enter the Quarterfinal stage.
It was Egypt to start with a confident 26-10 lead in the first period. South Sudan however replied with a 20-18 rally in the second period and exploded with a 24-12 surge in the third period. Moreover they posted a final 21-9 run in the last stanza to shock the opponents.
Maria Gakdeng (190-F/C-2003) top-scored for the winners with 19 points, whilst Rose Macuei (187-F-2000) and Delicia Washington (178-G-1997, college: Clemson) poured in 17 each. Raneem Elgedawy (193-F/C-1997, college: WKU) answered with 25 points in a loss.
