Rwanda - Uganda 66-61

Rwanda sealed their semifinal appearance in Kigali. The hosts held off Uganda in the AfroBasket quarterfinal clash. Sifa Ineza (2002) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the home side.
Uganda posted a 22-11 lead after the opening frame. But Rwanda pulled within a single point at halftime 27-28. They turned things around in the third stanza. Rwanda ignited a 24-10 rally in the third quarter to ensure a 13-point lead. Uganda sank 23 points in the fourth term but could not avoid the loss. Destiney Philoxy (170-G-2000) delivered 16 points for Rwanda. Jannon Otto (183-G-1997, college: UC Riverside) replied with game-high 31 points and 13 rebounds for Uganda.
