Mozambique - Ivory Coast 70:48

Leia Dongue (185-F/C-1991) led Mozambique into the Quarterfinals of the AfroBasket 2023. She collected with 18 points and 13 rebounds as her team edged Ivory Coast 70:48. Mozambique dominated the start of the game and reached 21-7 run at the end of the first quarter. Ivory Coast managed to win the second frame 19-16, whilst Mozambique posted a 13-10 and 20-12 rallies in the second half.
Silvia Veloso (170-G-1998, college: Cumberlands) nailed 11 points, whilst Chanaya Pinto (185-F-2000) and Ingvild Agostinho had 8 apiece. Edwige Djedjemel (188-C-1988) replied with 10 points in a loss and Djefarima Diawara (180-F-1994) produced 9.
