Uganda - Senegal 85:83

Jane Asinde (185-F-1999) and Jannon Otto (183-G-1997, college: UC Riverside) paced Uganda past Senegal. They combined for 41 points as Uganda survived an 85-83 win. Senegal started better and grabbed a 21-17 lead at the start. Uganda later posted three narrow wins in each period to seal the win. Being tied at 81-81, Lydia Babirye (175-PG-2004) made two free throws and then drove a layup with a foul drawn to bring the win for her side. Lydia Babirye delivered 11 points for the winners and Claire Lamunu (189-F/C-1993, college: Vanguard) had 9. Aya Traore (188-F-1983, college: Purdue) replied with 29 points in defeat, whilst Cierra Dillard (176-G-1996, college: Buffalo, agency: Shark Sports Management) poured in 21.
