2023 AfroBasket Qualifiers: Kenya finished third in the regional qualifier in Kampala

Kenya overcame South Sudan 64-30 to finish third in the regional qualifier in Kampala. Kenya opened the game with a narrow 12-11 lead and added massive 17-5 surge in the second frame. They scored another 17 points in the third quarter and closed the campaign with a final 18-6 rally. Medina Okot (2004) starred for Kenya sinking 18 points while pulling down 16 rebounds.
Victoria Reynolds (178-F-1997, college: William & Mary) managed 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Perina Leime (175-G-2002) notched 10 points and had 9 rebounds and 5 steals for South Sudan.
