Amy Okonkwo, 28-year old Nigerian power forward was honored as the Most Valuable Player at the FIBA Afrobasket. She plays For the Besiktas JK Istanbul In Turkey And graduated from the Texas Christian six years ago. Okonkwo received multiple other awards, earned the Best Forward and was voted to the First Team. She started playing in the Nigerian National Team 4 years ago. Okonkwo previously picked up the MVP, Best Forward and selected to the First Team back in 2023. She averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds per game during the event. Okonkwo's 19 points against Mali were the most she scored at the tournament. Among many awards she was selected to the Latinbasket All-Mexican LNBPF Player of the Year in 2023. She was also selected to the Latinbasket All-Mexican LNBPF Import Player of the Year in 2023. Okonkwo was selected to the Latinbasket All-Mexican LNBPF First Team in 2023. She was also selected to the Eurobasket French LFB All-Imports Team in 2024.
Delicia Washington, 28-year old South Sudanese guard was named the Best Guard of FIBA Afrobasket. She plays For the Fuerza Regia Femenil In Mexico And Is Clemson alumna from 2022. Washington was also chosen to the First Team. Her court vision was unparalleled as she secured the second spot in points per game, delivering an average of over 18. Washington also recorded 7 rebounds per game at the event. Her 22 points against Senegal were the most she scored at the tournament. Among many awards she was selected to the All-ACC First Team back in 2022. She was also selected to the All-ACC Second Team back in 2021. Washington was selected as the Eurobasket All-Italian A1 Honorable Mention in 2023.
Sika Kone, 23-year old Malian power forward was voted the Best Center at the FIBA Afrobasket. She plays For the Washington Mystics in the WNBA. Kone was also named to the First Team. She started playing in the Malian National Team 4 years ago. Kone also played for the Under 19 national team back in 2021. She previously earned a spot in the Second Team back in 2021, Best Center and First Team back in 2023. Kone's consistent performance as a playmaker earned her the second ranked in rebounds per game, showcasing average of 11. She also registered over 10 points per game at the event. Kone had double-doubles in 3 games during the event. Her 16 points against Nigeria were the most she scored at the tournament.
Cierra Dillard, 29-year old Senegalese guard was voted to the First Team of FIBA Afrobasket. She plays For the Hapoel Kfar Saba In Israel And Is ex-Buffalo from 2019. Dillard started playing in the Senegalese National Team 2 years ago. She was previously selected as the Best Guard and chosen to the First Team back in 2023. Dillard averaged almost 14 points and over 5 rebounds per game at the event. Her 26 points against Nigeria were the most she scored at the tournament. Among many awards she won the FIBA African Women Basketball League championship title in 2023. She was selected to the All-MAC First Team back in 2019 during her college time. Dillard was also selected to the Eurobasket Finnish All-Imports Team as well as the All-Finnish Second Team back in 2021. She was also selected to the MAC All-Tournament Team between 2018 and 2019.
Jane Asinde, Ugandan forward was named to the First Team at the FIBA Afrobasket. She plays For the Azul Marino Sant Josep Palma de Mallorca In Spain And Is alumna of the UTEP from 2024. Asinde started playing in the Ugandan National Team 2 years ago. She showcased her talent by ranking fourth in rebounds per game with an average of almost 9. Asinde also recorded almost 16 points per game at the event. She logged double-doubles in 3 games during the event. Asinde's 24 points against Ivory Coast were the most she scored at the tournament. Among many awards she was selected to the All-C-USA First Team in 2024. She was also selected to the C-USA All-Defensive Team in 2024. Asinde was selected to the All-AAC Third Team in 2023.
