City Oilers - Rezlife S. 84-41 NBL top team - City Oilers (17-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Rezlife S. (3-12) in Kampala 84-41. City Oilers held Rezlife S. to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.9 percent accuracy of the winners. City Oilers had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Rezlife S.'s players. It was a good game for the former international point guard Jimmy Enabu (187) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Sudanese center Titus Lual contributed with 7 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Micheal Otieno (193-1993) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Claude Aligawesa (190, college: E.Wyoming) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Rezlife S.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. City Oilers have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-0 record. Rezlife S. lost fifth consecutive game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked UPDF (5-14) in Kampala 75-50. City Oilers forced 24 UPDF turnovers. Strangely UPDF outrebounded City Oilers 55-39 including a 44-32 advantage in defensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. International Tony Drileba (183-1993) stepped up and scored 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Sudanese center Titus Lual chipped in 6 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Arthur Wanyoto with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Andrew Gang (-1996) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eleventh ranked JKL Dolphins (5-12) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Our Saviour (8-9). JKL Dolphins managed to escape with a 1-point win 80-79 on Friday evening. Tanzanian forward Chuma Fadhili (-1995) nailed 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Denis Omara accounted for 24 points. Power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and guard Joseph Wacha (-1991) added 15 points and 8 assists respectively for Our Saviour in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Our Saviour's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. JKL Dolphins moved-up to tenth place. Loser Our Saviour keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. KIU Titans' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Felix Mukunzi (193-1995) came up with 20 points and 4 steals and swingman Andrew Gang (-1996) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for UPDF in the defeat. KIU Titans maintains third place with 14-3 record having just three points less than leader City Oilers. Loser UPDF keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost.
