Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: UCU Canons (#1) and Ndejje Angels (#8). Ndejje Angels were defeated at home 77-86 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. UCU Canons outrebounded Ndejje Angels 60-32 including a 39-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Peter Sifuma (-1996) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Tanzanian forward Chuma Fadhili (-1995) chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was David Mayom (201-2000) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Ndejje Angels' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UCU Canons maintains first position with 8-1 record. Ndejje Angels lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Tropical R.. UCU Canons' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Our Saviour.

City Oilers were defeated at home 44-58 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of City Oilers. Sudanese center Titus Lual (-1998) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and Chuma Fadhili supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by Okello James did not help to save the game for City Oilers. City Oilers' coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCU Canons maintains first position with 8-1 record. Defending champion City Oilers keep the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Blazers. UCU Canons' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Our Saviour.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Kampala. Third ranked host City Oilers (5-2) defeated their close opponent Betway Power (6-3) 75-68. The best player for the winners was Drileba Tonny who scored 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Innocent Ochera who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. City Oilers have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 5-2 record having five points less than leader UCU Canons, which they share with Blazers. Betway Power at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. City Oilers will meet Tropical R. (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Betway Power will play against Ndejje Angels (#10) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 6: UPDF destroyed Falcons on the opponent's court 70-50. Victoria USY unfortunately lost to Tropical R. in a home game 59-68. JKL Dolphins managed to beat Falcons on the road 63-48. Blazers defeated KCCA P. on its own court 68-61. KIU Titans beat UPDF in Kampala 63-54. Blazers won against Victoria USY at home 54-44. JKL Dolphins unfortunately lost to Betway Power on the opponent's court 66-78.



Falcons - UPDF 50-70

Very expected game in Kampala where bottom-ranked Falcons (0-7) were crushed by fifth ranked UPDF (4-4) 70-50 on Wednesday. UPDF forced 35 Falcons turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman David Okello (-1997) who scored 23 points and 6 steals. Forward David Opolot (-1989) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. UPDF's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Brian Ssentongo (203-1987) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and Mark Ngobi added 17 points respectively. Despite that victory UPDF went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with JKL Dolphins. Falcons at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. UPDF will meet at home higher ranked Blazers (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Falcons will play against KCCA P. (#11) and hope to get finally their first victory.
