No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Blazers (5-2) won against at home 12th ranked Victoria USY (1-7) 54-44 on Sunday. Blazers forced 22 Victoria USY turnovers and outrebounded them 56-35 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Daniel Juuko (187-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. DR Congolese center Amisi Saidi (200-1987) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Ronald Ayume who recorded 13 points and Nyong Marrier added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Blazers moved-up to third place, which they share with City Oilers. Newly promoted Victoria USY keeps the twelfth position with seven games lost. Blazers will meet UPDF (#6) in the next round. Victoria USY will play against the league's second-placed Betway Power (#2) and hope to win that game.
