This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked Kepler (6-3) to second ranked REG (7-1) 65-63 on Monday evening. REG forced 20 Kepler turnovers. Strangely Kepler outrebounded REG 49-37 including 38 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Odile Tetero (162-1998) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 assists and Ramla Munezero (-2003) who added 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. REG's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. point guard Nelly Nsanzabaganwa (-1995) responded with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. REG maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader APR. Newly promoted Kepler keeps the fourth place with three games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in . Top-ranked host APR (8-0) defeated 3rd ranked GSMRR (7-2) 80-76. The winners were led by the former international center Assouma Uwizeye (182-1996) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds and Marie Imanizabayo supported her with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds by forward Brigitte Nibishaka (-2003) did not help to save the game for GSMRR. Undefeated APR have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. GSMRR at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 8: winless UR BBC was destroyed by GSMRR on the opponent's court 79-37. Gahini managed to outperform UR Kigali in a home game 44-36. Kepler rolled over Gahini on the road 69-50. EA Univ was crushed by RP-IPRC Huye on its own court 59-97. GSMRR smashed UR Kigali in a road game 103-57. Winless UR BBC was destroyed by The Hoops at home 48-86.
