Batamuliza's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Forward Mercy Batamuliza (F) had a great game in the last round for league's best team JT Lady Jaguars and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 29.
She had a double-double of 16 points and 17 rebounds, while her team outclassed KIU Rangers (#8, 9-13) with 26-point margin 66-40. It allowed Lady Jaguars to consolidate first place in the Ugandan NBL. Lady Jaguars has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 20-2. Batamuliza has many years of experience at Lady Jaguars, through which she has constantly improved. Batamuliza has impressive league stats. She leads league in rebounds with 11.7rpg. Batamuliza is in league's top in and averages solid 3.9spg.

Second best performed player last round was Daphine Adong (F) of Magic Stormers Kampala. She is a forward in her 4th season at Magic S.. In the last game Adong recorded an impressive triple-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Of course Magic S. cruised to a 59-48 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked She Crocs (#9, 7-13). Magic S.'s 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 12-10 record is not bad at all. Adong is one of the most experienced players at Magic S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Akello Winnifred (G-2001) of Miracle Eaglets (#10). Winnifred scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Miracle, leading her team to a 77-70 win against slightly lower-ranked Nabisunsa (#11, 4-16). The chances of Miracle not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Winnifred could try to bring Miracle's a little bit higher in the standings. Winnifred has individually a great season in Uganda. After 19 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.2ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 9.9rpg (7th best).
