Talented Mpoza Abigail (2007) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Nabisunsa Girls and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 18-year old had the game-high 34 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Nabisunsa in her team's victory, helping them to beat Peal Queens (#6, 9-10) 73-61. Nabisunsa maintains the 11th position in Ugandan NBL. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Nabisunsa have already lost 14 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Abigail had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Nabisunsa, through which she has constantly improved. Abigail has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 15.6ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Cameroonian guard Susanne Eben (166-G-1997) of Magic Stormers Kampala. Eben impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Magic S. to another comfortable win 65-48 over slightly higher-ranked Lady Dolphins (#4, 11-8) being unquestionably team leader. Magic S.'s 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 11-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Eben is one of the most experienced players at Magic S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Cindealla Anena of KIU Rangers (#8). Anena scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Anena's great performance the KIU Rangers lost 61-71 to slightly lower-ranked Miracle (#10, 5-13). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of KIU Rangers ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Anena could help KIU Rangers to bring them higher in the standings. Anena has a very solid season. In 19 games in Uganda she scored 9.1ppg.
