The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: KCCA Leopards (#4) and Miracle (#6). Miracle was crushed at home by 45 points 48-93 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. KCCA Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Miracle's 22. KCCA Leopards forced 32 Miracle turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Miracle's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Tracy Namugosa who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!). Margaret Bagaala contributed with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Swingman Isabella Namugabo answered with 11 points and 6 rebounds for Miracle. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KCCA Leopards have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Miracle at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Magic S. and Lady Tomahawks. KCCA Leopards will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Miracle's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Nabisunsa.
NBL top team - JKL Dolphins (15-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Nkumba LM (0-15) in Kampala 67-47. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Hope Akello (183-1997) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Angella Lokwameri helped adding 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. JKL Dolphins' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Shalom Muwanguzi responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds. JKL Dolphins have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-3 record. Newly promoted Nkumba LM still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

It was an exceptional evening for Sylivia Nakituuka who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Martha Yikiru came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds for Nabisunsa in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCU Ladies maintains fourth place with 12-3 record. Nabisunsa lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. UCU Ladies' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena Angels.
