Batamuliza number one in Uganda NBL for round 27 (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Mercy Batamuliza (F) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked JT Lady Jaguars, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 27.
The player had a double-double of 20 points and 17 rebounds, while her team outclassed She Crocs (#9, 6-11) with 40-point margin 85-45. It allowed Lady Jaguars to consolidate first place in the Ugandan NBL. Lady Jaguars has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 18-2. In the team's last game Batamuliza had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Lady Jaguars and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Mercy Batamuliza has solid league stats. She leads league in rebounds with 11.5rpg. Batamuliza is in league's top in and averages impressive 3.3spg.

The second best player in last round's games was Ines Kanyamunza (G) of KIU Rangers. Kanyamunza had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she led KIU Rangers to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Nabisunsa (#11, 2-13) 72-43. This victory allowed KIU Rangers to move up to 7th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-10 record. Kanyamunza is one of the most experienced players at KIU Rangers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.1ppg (#5). Her other stats are also decent: 6.8rpg and 3.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Tracy Namugosa (170-G-2000) of KCCA Leopards (#3). Namugosa scored 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. She was a key player of KCCA Leopards, leading her team to a 63-61 win against #4 ranked Lady Dolphins in a game of the week. KCCA Leopards is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 14-3 record is not that bad... Namugosa has a great season in Uganda. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.6ppg (best scorer). She also has 3.5spg and a FGP of 54.5%.
