There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of NBL and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of Our Saviour (3-1) in Kampala on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by City Oilers (2-0) 74-38. City Oilers held Our Saviour to an opponent 19.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.4 percent accuracy of the winners. City Oilers forced 28 Our Saviour turnovers. It was a good game for Sudanese center Titus Lual (201-1998) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Fayed Baale (173-2001) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Icumar Joel answered with 7 points and 9 rebounds for Our Saviour. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. City Oilers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala JKL Dolphins.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Livingstone (1-3) and KCCA P. (1-2), which took place in . Livingstone lost at home to KCCA P. 53-57. It was a great evening for forward Caesar Kizito (-1988) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points. Stephen Otoa helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Diopa Lukusa with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KCCA P. will play against Jaguars (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Livingstone will have a break next round.

It was an exceptional evening for Ahmed Kassa who led the winners and scored 22 points. Puati Kikomba came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds for Kampala R. in the defeat. KIU Titans will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kampala R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kampala Ndejje Angels.

In the last two games of round 3 winless Power lost to undefeated City Oilers on the road 38-73. UCU Canons won against Power on its own court 69-56.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 13 points and 11 rebounds by Kayiira Joel of UCU Canons.



KIU Titans - Kampala R. 73-53

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: KIU Titans (#4) and Kampala R. (#12). KIU Titans (2-1) crushed visiting Kampala R. (0-3) by 20 points 73-53. KIU Titans held Kampala R. to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.0 percent accuracy of the winners. KIU Titans looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Kampala R.'s players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Ahmed Kassa who led the winners and scored 22 points. Joel Lukoji accounted for 8 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Puati Kikomba came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and Ola Simon added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Kampala R. in the defeat. KIU Titans will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. No shocking result in a game when City Oilers (2-0) crushed Power (0-2) in Kampala 73-38 on Sunday. City Oilers held Power to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.7 percent accuracy of the winners. City Oilers forced 34 Power turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Ivan Muhwezi (182-1998) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international James Okello (193-1990) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. City Oilers' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Very expected game when Power (0-2) lost to UCU Canons (2-1) in Kampala 56-69 on Friday. UCU Canons outrebounded Power 48-32 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Kayiira Joel (-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Center Peter Sifuma (-1996) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. UCU Canons' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Phillip Ameny (-1989) came up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Samad Imran (-1993) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Power in the defeat. UCU Canons will meet Jaguars (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
