Regular Season Round 3: UCU Canons - Power 69-56

Very expected game when Power (0-2) lost to UCU Canons (2-1) in Kampala 56-69 on Friday. UCU Canons outrebounded Power 48-32 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Kayiira Joel (-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Center Peter Sifuma (-1996) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. UCU Canons' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Phillip Ameny (-1989) came up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Samad Imran (-1993) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Power in the defeat. UCU Canons will meet Jaguars (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Power's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kampala to the arena JKL Dolphins.
