Power - Our Saviour 63-55 Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Power (#6) and Our Saviour (#5). Power (5-6) won against visiting Our Saviour (6-4) 63-55. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Our Saviour. It was a great evening for forward Samad Imran (-1993) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds. Power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) helped adding 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was Malual Dier with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 5-6 record. Our Saviour at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. (3-8) 94-68 on Sunday. City Oilers forced 20 Kampala R. turnovers and outrebounded them 49-38 including 34 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kampala R.'s players. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Ruai Luak (196-2004) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international point guard Jimmy Enabu (187) accounted for 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four City Oilers players scored in double figures. City Oilers' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Gideon Kasasa (-1998) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Okumu Emmanuel (-1997) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Kampala R. in the defeat. City Oilers have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Our Saviour forced 27 Ndejje Angels turnovers. Strangely Ndejje Angels outrebounded Our Saviour 58-44 including a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Joseph Wacha (-1991) accounted for 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Our Saviour's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Joseph Kumbai came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 25 rebounds and James Obrack added 10 points respectively for Ndejje Angels in the defeat. KIU Titans (8-2) won against visiting JKL Dolphins (3-7) 59-44. KIU Titans held JKL Dolphins to an opponent 21.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.3 percent accuracy of the winners. KIU Titans had a 43-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for DR Congolese center Amisi Saidi (200) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Peter Obleng (190-2003) accounted for 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. KIU Titans' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Joseph Dramaza came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Gideon Eotu (-2001) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for JKL Dolphins in the defeat. KIU Titans have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 8-2 record having four points less than leader City Oilers. JKL Dolphins lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost.
