Power - KCCA P. 84-80 Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Power (#8) and KCCA P. (#6). Power (4-6) won against visiting KCCA P. (4-7) 84-80. They outrebounded KCCA P. 64-47 including a 48-33 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Power forward Isaac Afidra (-1985) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Stephen Otoa accounted for 12 points and 14 rebounds. Five Power players scored in double figures. Kenyan forward Martin Ouma (195-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Salim Kisilu added 9 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for KCCA P. in the defeat. Blazers forced 26 UPDF turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Peter Cheng fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Guard Christopher Omanye (183-1994) chipped in 9 points and 10 assists. Guard Livingstone Kimambo (188-2000) produced 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Michael Kojjo added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. UPDF's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Blazers maintains fourth place with 6-3 record. UPDF lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked KCCA P. (4-7) to seventh ranked Our Saviour (4-3) 73-72 on Saturday evening. Our Saviour forced 29 KCCA P. turnovers. Strangely KCCA P. outrebounded Our Saviour 61-48 including 20 on the offensive glass. Power forward Moses Mugisha (-1984) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Malual Dier chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Our Saviour's coach used entire bench in such tough game. At the losing side Salim Kisilu responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and forward Aaron Ojoo scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. This time newly promoted Kampala R. won against eighth-ranked Ndejje Angels 62-48. Kampala R. held Ndejje Angels to an opponent 21.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Kampala R. forced 30 Ndejje Angels turnovers. Strangely Ndejje Angels outrebounded Kampala R. 58-44 including a 30-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Okumu Emmanuel (-1997) fired 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Francis Kasinde chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Ndejje Angels' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kampala R. (3-7) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with UPDF. Loser Ndejje Angels keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with JKL Dolphins.
