The most surprising game was the first loss of UCU Canons (6-1) on the court of thirteenth ranked Victoria USY on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Victoria USY 66-63. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of UCU Canons. Victoria USY forced 26 UCU Canons turnovers. Nyong Marrier orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. Maker Mayen contributed with 7 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Rogers Dauna (196-2000) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds for UCU Canons. UCU Canons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Victoria USY (1-5) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place. UCU Canons at the other side still keep top position with one game lost.
An interesting game for UCU Canons (6-1) which hosted in Kampala 3rd placed Betway Power (5-2). First ranked UCU Canons had an easy win 69-45. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Guard Jerry Kayanga (-1997) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Titus Lual chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. UCU Canons' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Innocent Ochera (-1997) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds. UCU Canons have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Betway Power at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost.
Bottom-ranked Falcons is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fourth ranked City Oilers (4-1) 89-55 on Saturday evening. Ivan Muhwezi nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Henrison Mbaziira came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds for Falcons in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for City Oilers. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Falcons lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost.

In the last two games of round 5 Betway Power beat UPDF on the road 76-71. JKL Dolphins lost to KCCA P. on its own court 56-59.



City Oilers - Falcons 89-55

Bottom-ranked Falcons is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fourth ranked City Oilers (4-1) 89-55 on Saturday evening. City Oilers dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Falcons' 24. City Oilers forced 25 Falcons turnovers and outrebounded them 52-40 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international Ivan Muhwezi (182-1998) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Ruai Luak (196-2004) accounted for 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four City Oilers players scored in double figures. Swingman Henrison Mbaziira came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Jurua Vinnie added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Falcons in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for City Oilers. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Falcons lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost.

An interesting game for UCU Canons (6-1) which hosted in Kampala 3rd placed Betway Power (5-2). First ranked UCU Canons had an easy win 69-45. It was a key game for the top position in the league. No shocking result in a game when third ranked Betway Power (5-2) beat 6th ranked UPDF (3-3) in Kampala 76-71 on Sunday. Betway Power forced 21 UPDF turnovers and outrebounded them 47-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Soro Geoffrey nailed 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Kasinde Francis accounted for 11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Swingman David Okello (-1997) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Arthur Wanyoto added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for UPDF in the defeat. UPDF's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Betway Power moved-up to second place. UPDF lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Ndejje Angels and JKL Dolphins.

There was an upset when higher ranked JKL Dolphins (3-3) were edged by eleventh ranked KCCA P. (2-4) in Kampala 59-56 on Saturday. KCCA P. forced 21 JKL Dolphins turnovers. Forward Emmanuel Odongkara (-1989) nailed 12 points for the winning side and Leonardo Gilabi accounted for 4 points and 13 rebounds. KCCA P.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Mabor Makol came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds and Malual Dier added 7 points and 13 rebounds respectively for JKL Dolphins in the defeat. KCCA P. moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Tropical R. Loser JKL Dolphins dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Ndejje Angels and UPDF.
