EA Univ was smashed at home by 34 points 62-96 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. REG dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to EA Univ's 44. REG forced 33 EA Univ turnovers and outrebounded them 51-32 including a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. REG looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Paul Akon fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Paul Akon contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds for APR. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. EA Univ moved-up to seventh place. In the last two games of round 16 Azomco crushed UR Kigali in Kigali 83-39. UR BBC was smashed by RP-IPRC Huye at home 45-66.
