The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Cairo: Canal (#3) and Al Zohour (#8). Canal (6-0) won against visiting Al Zohour (2-4) 63-51. It was a good game for who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 5 rebounds. contributed with 9 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Amr Emad answered with 9 points and 12 rebounds for Al Zohour. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Superleague top team - Al Ahly (6-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Sporting (1-5) in Alexandria 77-65. stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and Omar Oraby chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Mohamed Abdellatif with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Al Ahly. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-0 record, which they share with Al Ittihad Al. and Canal. Sporting lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Al Shams and Aviation.
A very close game took place in Cairo (derby !!!) between Al Gezira and WE Sporting. Ninth ranked Al Gezira (3-3) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked WE Sporting (2-4). Al Gezira managed to escape with a 2-point win 67-65 on Monday evening. Ahmed Samy nailed 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Omar Attia came up with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for WE Sporting in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Al Gezira. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Olympic. Newly promoted WE Sporting dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 9: Al Geish beat Damanhour on the road 75-70. Al Shams lost to Olympic on its own court 71-78. Heliopolis managed to outperform Aviation in Cairo 71-66. Al Ittihad Al. rolled over Smouha at home 95-64.
The most impressive performance of 9th round was 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by Pierre Jackson of Al Ittihad Al..



Damanhour - Al Geish 70-75

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Al Geish (5-1) beat 10th ranked Damanhour (2-4) in Alexandria 75-70 on Sunday. Al Geish outrebounded Damanhour 39-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Al Geish looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Ramadan Mahmoud nailed 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Ahmed El Sayed accounted for 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Al Geish players scored in double figures. Sleem Elessawy came up with 17 points and 6 assists and the former international center Omar Oraby (218-1991, college: USC) added 9 points and 6 assists respectively for Damanhour in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Al Geish. They maintain fourth place with 5-1 record. Damanhour lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
