Very expected game when 14th rankedAl Shams (1-5) lost to eighth ranked Olympic (3-3) in Cairo 71-78 on Sunday. Olympic looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Hatem Behiry nailed 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Pape Samba accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. Mazen Elzahaby came up with 16 points and 4 assists and Mohamed Nasser added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Al Shams in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Olympic . They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Al Gezira. Al Shams lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. They share it with Sporting and Aviation.
