African Champions Angola Already in Competition Venue

The Angolan senior females basketball team, African Nations Cup (Afrobasket) title holders, arrived on Saturday morning in the Republic of Congo, to participate in the 11th All Africa Games, which are taking place from 04 to 19 September, in Brazzaville. Speaking briefly to ANGOP, the team's captain, Nacissela Mauricio (185-F-80), said that all the preparation work has been done, so now the squad must focus on the objective, which is to conquer this title as well, after ending up in the second position in the last edition, held in Maputo, Mozambique, in the year 2011. The captain further explained that the squad have two main objectives , namely win the All Africa Games and the nextb Afrobasket, set for the end of this month, in Cameroon. More than 14 sports will represent the country in this event, totalling one hundred athletes.
