Senegal won the women's basketball title at the 10th All Africa Games, beating Angola 64-57 in Maputo on Sunday evening.

Senegal dominated the first half of the opening period before Angola took over to lead the first half 31-28.

Returning to the court, Angola kept the enthusiasm and even enlarged its advantage to five points but did not last long.

Senegal who downed Mozambique en route to the final, overtook the lead for 10 points to enter the last quarter.

Senegal then won more rebounds and stole a string of balls to hold back the attacks from Angola.

'Senegal is an experienced team, that was fundamental for their victory, but Angola also did great,' said Angolan coach.
