Senegal will take on Nigeria in All-Africa Games basketball final

Nigeria - Mozambique 57:46
Nigeria defeated Mozambique in the second semifinal of All-African Games in Algeria. Nigeria lost no games earlier in the tournament and actually entered this semifinal as favorites. They however lost the opening frame 12:13 and had to play a catch up for some time in the second quarter. But by the end of the second frame Nigeria were ahead 27:23 and never looked back from now on. They outscored Mozambique 18:10 in the third quarter and easily secured a win at the end.
Nigeria will now take on Senegal in the tournament decider tomorrow. Mozambique will play versus Angola for the Bronze medals.

Senegal - Angola 71:49
Senegal posted a spectacular performance in the semifinal against Angola to book thier title game ticket. Angola who entered the semis with a perfect record hoped to for a positive outcome. However Senegal did not give them a trace of chance en route to the victory.
Teams started the game bravely and exchanged the shots throughout the first quarter. Senegal appeared to be more accurate and secured a narrow lead 18:16. In the second quarter the game turned into a defensive battle with no team rushing ahead. Senegalese players adjusted better to the tempo and limited Angola to only 6 points in the second frame. They were up 30:22 at halftime and never stopped after the break. The gap kept on growing and Senegal extended it to 43:31 after three quarters. Angola's defence collapsed in the final stanza allowing Senegal to drop 28 points and celebrate a confident victory.
Diodio Diouf (170-G-84) produced 17 points for Senegal. Khady Diakhate contributed 15 points for the winners. Irene Guerreiro (-70) nailed 12 points to lead Angola. Sonia Cardoso provided 10 and 5 boards in a defeat.
Senegal will now take on Nigeria in tomorrow's final.
