The game had a very big importance for second-rankedNadi Basket as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Nadi Basket defeated 13th ranked Moustakbal in Staoueli 72-64 . Mohamed Bensalah (200-2002, college: Paul Quinn) fired 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Abderraouf Benrighi (202-1996) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Four Nadi Basket players scored in double figures. Nadi Basket's coach Mohamed Yahya used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Demba Diakite produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and center Zakaria Abdelouahad (202-2005) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Moustakbal lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 17 games lost. Moustakbal will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Nadi Basket will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked USM Alger on the road.
