Experienced Paul Odong (G-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Namuwongo Blazers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 32.
The 34-year old guard had a double-double of 53 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Kampala R. (#12, 2-20) with 46-point margin 110-64. It allowed Blazers to jump to the first place in the Ugandan NBL. Blazers has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 20-2. Odong has many years of experience at Blazers, through which he has constantly improved. Paul Odong averages this season 10.1ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young guard Christopher Omanye (183-G-1994) of Rezlife Saints. Omanye impressed basketball fans with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course he led Rezlife S. to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked JKL Dolphins (#10, 6-16) 90-61. Rezlife S.'s 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 18 matches. Omanye is one of the most experienced players at Rezlife S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Blazers' star - DR Congolese Franck Nyembo (200-F-2006). Nyembo scored 23 points. He was another key player of Namuwongo Blazers, helping his team with a 82-39 easy win against #4 ranked UCU Canons in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Blazers as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 20 victories and only two lost games. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Nyembo has a great season in Uganda. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.6ppg (6th best).
