The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: Rezlife S. (#3) and KCCA P. (#5). KCCA P. was defeated at home 63-74 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Rezlife S. forced 27 KCCA P. turnovers. Strangely KCCA P. outrebounded Rezlife S. 46-34 including 35 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rezlife S. made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for Edrine Ekau (-2006) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 5 steals. Hon Kwany helped adding 16 points. It was an exceptional evening for Mark Ngobi who led the winners and scored 21 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Erick Komagum accounted for 7 points and 12 rebounds. Victoria Crocs' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Peter Sifuma (-1996) came up with 19 points and 27 rebounds for Jaguars in the defeat. Victoria Crocs moved-up to fifth place, which they share with KCCA P. and Sommet. Jaguars lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of UCU Canons. Bang Desmasiro fired 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Jimmy Otim produced 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UPDF moved-up to tenth place. UCU Canons at the other side keep the fourth position with eight games lost. In the last two games of round 31 UMU destroyed Kampala R. on the opponent's court 80-36. UCU Canons managed to outperform UMU in a home game 72-55.



Kampala R. - UMU 36-80

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Kampala R. (2-19) was crushed at home by tenth ranked UMU (5-16) 80-36 on Saturday. UMU held Kampala R. to an opponent 17.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Kampala R. 70-45 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. UMU looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Kampala R.'s players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when UMU made 7 blocks. Joshua Duallo (-1998) fired 8 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks for the winners. Agot Agot chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. UMU's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Gideon Kasasa (-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Ibrahim Waibi added 7 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Despite that victory UMU went down to eleventh position due to points difference. Kampala R. lost their fifteenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 19 lost games.
