Kikomba number one in Uganda NBL for round 28 (by Hoops Agents)

Power forward Puati Kikomba (F/C) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sommet BC, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
The player had a double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat JKL Dolphins (#9, 5-14) 98-93. Sommet maintains the 6th position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sommet will need more victories to improve their 10-8 record. In the team's last game Kikomba had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sommet, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Puati Kikomba has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 12.0rpg) and averages impressive 52.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Kenneth Mesho of JKL Dolphins Kampala. Mesho had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as JKL Dolphins lost that game 93-98 to the higher-ranked Sommet (#6, 10-8). JKL Dolphins is still in a red zone at 9th spot in the standings. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories JKL Dolphins managed to get this year. Mesho is a newcomer at JKL Dolphins and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was Wankoak Gatwech Koang of UMU Flames (#10). Gatwech Koang scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Gatwech Koang's great performance the UMU lost 54-58 to the higher-ranked KCCA P. (#5, 11-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Gatwech Koang has a very solid season. In 19 games in Uganda he scored 11.4ppg.
