Experienced Nigerian Anthony Chukwubuka (202-F-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Namuwongo Blazers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed UPDF (#11, 3-12) with 21-point margin 71-50. Blazers maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Blazers would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 15-2 record. In the team's last game Chukwubuka had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Anthony Chukwubuka averages this season 8.1ppg and 6.9rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Blazers' star - young DR Congolese forward Franck Nyembo (200-F-2006). Nyembo impressed basketball fans with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Of course together with Chukwubuka he helped Namuwongo Blazers with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Jaguars (#8, 6-10) 93-66. Blazers' second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 15 matches. Nyembo is one of the most experienced players at Blazers and similarly like Anthony Chukwubuka has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Blazers' star - international forward James Okello (193-PF-1990). Okello showcased his all-around game by recording 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Namuwongo Blazers, helping his team with a 71-50 easy win against the lower-ranked UPDF (#11, 3-12). Blazers is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 15-2 record is not that bad... Okello has a very solid season. In 17 games in Uganda he scored 5.9ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Peter Obleng (190-G-2003) of Blazers - 19 points and 5 rebounds
5. Davis Assimwe (G) of KCCA P. - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
