Matrina Anyango had a great game in the last round for second-ranked UCU Lady Canons, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The player had a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds, while her team beat Magic S. (#6, 8-9) 57-42. Lady Canons maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Lady Canons would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-3 record. Anyango turned to be Lady Canons' top player in her first season with the team. Matrina Anyango has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 12.7ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.2rpg) and averages impressive 50.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Daphine Adong (F) of Magic Stormers Kampala. Adong had a very good evening with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Magic S. cruised to a 69-60 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Miracle (#10, 3-13). Magic S.'s 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-9 record. Adong is one of the most experienced players at Magic S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Kenyan center Belinda Okoth (190-C-1987) of Peal Queens (#5). Okoth scored 11 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Okoth's great performance the Peal Queens lost 54-64 to the higher-ranked Lady Jaguars (#1, 15-2). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Okoth has a very solid season. In 2 games in Uganda she scored 6.5ppg.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
