Otieno number one in Uganda NBL for round 22

Guard Micheal Otieno (193-G-1993) put on an amazing game in the last round for Rezlife Saints, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (20 points, seven rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Victoria Crocs (#8, 5-8) with 22-point margin 79-57. Rezlife S. maintains the 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Rezlife S. will need more victories to improve their 10-4 record. In the team's last game Otieno had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Rezlife S., through which he has constantly improved. Micheal Otieno has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 13.4ppg) and assists (2nd best: 4.3apg).

The second best player in last round's games was Chuol Nyuot of Victoria Crocs. Nyuot had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Victoria Crocs lost that game 62-82 to the higher-ranked UCU Canons (#4, 8-5). Victoria Crocs is still in a red zone at 8th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. Nyuot is a newcomer at Victoria Crocs, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.5ppg (#9). He also registered 10.2 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Rezlife S.'s star - Edrine Ekau (2006). Ekau scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was another key player of Rezlife Saints, helping his team with a 79-57 easy win against the lower-ranked Victoria Crocs (#8, 5-8). Rezlife S. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Ekau has a great season in Uganda. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.2ppg (best scorer).
